Concept & Goals

Cheese festivals are held in many countries of the world, the most famous of which are France and Britain, and they mainly aim to promote different types of cheese and introduce consumers to new products and related products, in addition to various scientific, cultural and recreational activities.

Such events also aim to promote the industry and urge its development and draw the attention of the neighboring countries to Egypt as a producer and exporter of many types of cheese and its derivatives.

Where the activities of the first festival of Egyptian cheese and dairy products were held. in the event is the first of its kind in the history of Egyptian marketing. under the auspices of the Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, Mr. Al-Qaseer, as well as the Ministers of (Supply, Internal Trade, Trade. Industry and Military Production. the Ministry of Social Solidarity and the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities) represented by ( Tourism Revitalization Authority) during the period from 22 to 26 December at the Orman Botanical Garden in Giza.

More than 40 exhibitors from Egyptian cheese factories of all kinds participated in the festival, and the focus will be on natural products in general. Light will also be shed on what has been accomplished by the initiative of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic. to develop dairy collection centers in various governorates of Egypt.

The most important developments that took place in the field of deepening the local industry of equipment and devices for collecting and cooling milk, as well as safe transportation from a health point of view, were presented.

On the sidelines of the festival, a number of daily panel discussions were held by senior scientists and experts from dairy departments in specialized research centers and institutes, led by (the Agricultural Research Center, the National Research Center, the Food Technology Research Institute and the Animal Production Research Institute). The festival also includes a lot of entertainment, distinguished artistic performances and cultural competitions. For adults and children whose prizes will be products presented by the exhibiting companies.
